Metalbirds are covert art!

 

Awarded the title of 'Australian Bird of the Year 2019' by a complete landslide, this Pair of Black-Throated Finches are too cute to resist. Black-Throated Finches are endangered and are currently only found in Queensland. They are often found travelling in pairs or in flocks of up to 30 birds.

 

The bird is laser cut from 3mm Corten steel, which is designed to rust into a deep brown. The lovely rustic look and feel develops over time as it is exposed to the elements.

 

It can be easily hammered into most wooden structures.  Simply hammer the silhouette into the tree or for hard timber, you may need to pre-drill before hammering.
