The Story Behind The Art

The Abundance throw is a celebration of Gabrielle Diamantis’ artistry, combining two of her captivating original works — Abundance and Land & Sea #1. The design is anchored by her original piece Abundance, with elements from Land & Sea #1 carefully woven in to extend the composition and fit perfectly as a throw. Together, these pieces showcase the vibrant creativity of Sunshine Coast artist Gabrielle Diamantis. Gabrielle's art pieces are largely inspired by home, family, being by the ocean, joy and colour.

 

About The Artist

Gabrielle Diamantis is an Australian artist working from her home studio in Peregian Beach. She has a passion for all things creative but is most known for her intricate and unique embroidery art and painting. Gabrielle draws inspiration from the beauty in everyday life. Culture, fashion, and nature are some of the common subjects in all her work. Her Art celebrates a huge love for colour, texture, and detail.

Good Throw Co is a family-owned business based on the Southern Gold Coast, specializing in sustainable recycled cotton throws. They collaborate with Indigenous and Australian artists to create unique designs that reflect cultural expressions. Their products are versatile and can be used as picnic rugs, bed throws, lounge blankets, and more. Good Throw Co aims to blend sustainability with meaningful storytelling, making their throws both stylish and socially responsible.

 

Size: Made to 2.2 x 1.6m - but these gorgeous throws are woven so after manufacturing they do come out slightly smaller than 2.2 x 1.6. They are large enough to go over up to a king size bed

Material: 100% Recycled Cotton

Care Instructions: Made from recycled cotton so hand wash or cold gentle machine wash only. Do not Tumble Dry. Woven rugs have threads that can pull. Be careful with jewellery etc when folding your rug, so the threads don't catch or pull.
