About Author

Emma Bowd is a Melbourne-based author and children’s literacy advocate. A life-long love affair with shoes has led her on an exciting and successful international publishing journey, with fiction and non-fiction books for adults. Emma is delighted that her debut picture book pays homage to all the small children of the world, who think shoes are just as wonderful as she does!

 

About Illustrator

Tania McCartney is an award-winning author, illustrator, editor and book obsessive. The founder of Kids’ Book Review and The Happy Book podcast, she has over 50 books in print and is published in more than a dozen countries. Tania has over 30 years’ experience in publishing, book design, layout and typesetting, and her greatest joy is crafting books for children. A juvenile literacy ambassador, Tania’s awards include several CBCA Notable books, the SCBWI Crystal Kite Award for Australia/New Zealand, and the CBCA Laurie Copping Award for Distinguished Service to Children’s Literature. She has lived in France, England and China, and currently lives in Canberra with her family, a forest of artwork and a mountain of books.
