Some collaborations just make sense. When BLUNT set out to create a design that lived at the intersection of fashion, heritage and street culture, there was only one person we wanted to partner with: Mordechai Rubinstein — better known as Mister Mort.

Introducing Mordechai Rubinstein. Mordechai Rubinstein has spent his career capturing everyday style with an eye for authenticity. Featured in GQ, The New York Times and Vogue, he has also worked with Levi’s and Marc Jacobs, always bringing his own distinctive take. For this collaboration, he drew from his own wardrobe, collaging tweed, plaid and wool into a canopy that, in his words, celebrates “the most interesting fashion off the runway.”

The idea came to him on the rainy streets of London where he found himself adrift amongst a sea of umbrellas, difficult to navigate through and a source of great frustration for many.
